The shaft and housing of the TIOMATIK Electric Replacement Heads: plant-based plastic (mainly sugar cane). The rotary disc: cellulose mix. The axle (approx. 10% of the replacement head): fossil-based technical plastic, this is required due to the high mechanical stress on the head. Packaging: FSC certified carton.

The mounting adapter, the housing and the bristle plate can be recycled in the recycling bin, but this would require all parts to be carefully separated. All other parts can end up in residual waste. If separation is too complex for you, you can dispose the complete brush head in the residual waste. There, a lot of energy is recovered through thermal recycling because the skin component is plant-based. Only as much CO₂ is released into the atmosphere as the plants absorbed during their growth. The packaging can simply be put into the paper bin, where it is recycled.
