We’re a small family-run business based on the leafy outskirts of London.

 

We have curated a range of beautifully crafted, sustainable household products and toiletries to help our customers live an environmentally friendly life and reduce plastic in their homes. The majority of the products in our store are 100% plastic-free, cruelty-free and vegan. Many of our products are fairtrade and organic. None of the items contain palm oil. Our mobile phone contract is with an eco-friendly provider (Ecotalk) and most of our local deliveries in South East London are pedal-powered.

 

People often ask us what got us started, how we got interested in environmental issues. And the truth is, it wasn’t any single moment. In fact, we’ve always been interested in the natural world - and worried where our collective actions are leading us. Maybe it’s due to having spent a lot of time in nature when growing up, maybe it’s the fact we now have children of our own. Ultimately, we felt we couldn’t just stand by and do nothing. So we started Bohemeans.

 

For us sustainability isn’t about perfection, how could it possibly be, but rather a series of small choices, a process if you like. After all, in the words of historian Howard Zinn: “Small acts, when multiplied by millions of people, can transform the world.”
